Manage Your Blog

Managing your blog is easy.

First, you will need to login to the website using the USERNAME and PASSWORD you received from the website administrator. Once logged in, you will see a menu on the right that says "MANAGE MY BLOG."Explore each of the options on the menu. They will assist you with editing your posts, managing bookmarks, managing blog comments, creating a user profile, etc. Just remember that to VIEW and ACCESS this menu you will need to login to the SCF website using the username and password assigned to you by the webmaster. It is that simple. You are only able to manage your specific blog.

How To Create A New Post

We are excited that you are trying out this new platform to post announcements, teachings, YouTube or Vimeo videos and other information related to the IGNITED Student Ministry! Adding a blog, images, video, etc. is as simple as posting on any blog platform. We have included a step-by-step guide below.

 

Step #1:Login to the SCF website using the username and password you received from the website administrator. The login form is located in the bottom right hand corner of this page.

 

Step #2:From the Main Menu at the top of the page select "IGNITE Student Ministry." From the drop down menue select "Create New Post."

 

Step #3:You should see "Add New Post" at the top of your page. Use this space to add the title of your post, upload a picture, write your text, etc.

 

Step #4: At the bottom of the page, you also have the option to save your post as a DRAFT document (only you can see it) or to make it available to the EVERYONE (every one who visits this website can see it). In addition, you can set a publishing start date and stop date; add any meta tage descriptions you desire; allow people to comment on your blog; and choose the appropriate category for your blog post. If you are not sure what to do, just leave the fields below blank and do not set any of the options.

 

Step #5: Do not forget to SAVE your blog by selecting either "SAVE DRAFT" or "PUBLISH" at the top of your blog window. The publish button is green. Once you click publish, it will be publically available for people to view and for you to share on all your social networks.

 

You may close the window to exit or select another link anywhere on the page to navigate to another area.
